We've refined this process over dozens of projects in NE Baltimore County. It exists to protect you from the things that go wrong on remodeling projects — unclear scope, moving price targets, and crews that disappear between phases.
Before we schedule anything, you'll fill out a short form or call us directly at 443-761-9209. We confirm we serve your zip code (NE Baltimore County only) and that your project scope and budget are within our working range. If they aren't, we'll tell you that honestly rather than schedule a visit to tell you in person.
If it's a fit, Jonathan visits your home. He walks the space, listens to what you want, and tells you what's realistic. He'll tell you if your layout goal is achievable at your stated budget, if there are structural complications visible from the outside, or if the material choices you have in mind will land where you expect financially.
Within 7 business days of the consultation, you receive a written, fixed-price proposal. The proposal defines exactly what is included — every trade, every material category, every specification — and what is excluded. There are no intentional vague line items.
If the project requires a designer for layout or material selection (most full kitchen renovations and primary bath projects do), we connect you with designers we've worked with in the Baltimore County area, or we can work from specifications you've already developed with your own designer. Design fees are separate from the construction proposal and are negotiated directly with the designer.
We do not start demolition until your cabinetry and any custom materials are confirmed in production. For projects with long lead-time items — natural stone slabs, specialty tile, custom cabinetry — this means we may order materials before signing the contract is countersigned to protect your timeline. We explain this clearly when it applies.
Your project is assigned to a dedicated crew. That crew finishes your project before starting another. They do not rotate between multiple active jobs. This is a deliberate decision — split-crew scheduling is the primary cause of timeline overruns in residential remodeling.
When the project reaches substantial completion, Jonathan walks through every item in the original scope with you. You have a punch list — a written list of any items that need adjustment, correction, or completion. We address every item on the punch list before asking you to sign the completion document or issue the final invoice.
You do not pay the final invoice until you are satisfied with the completed work. This is not a guarantee we offer in marketing copy alone — it is written into our contract.
Understanding what we don't do is as useful as understanding what we do.
Fill out the form and Jonathan will respond within one business day. The consultation is free, in-home, and without obligation. You'll know where you stand before anyone asks you to commit to anything.
